There were 8 Crusades over a period of time for mostly all the same reason. To gain back the Holy Land from the Muslims. When all of the people in the crusades had to travel Hundreds of miles in scorching heat, deep snows and Mountainous areas. They also ran out of freshwater and food to survive so many people died while traveling to Jeruselum to fight back for the land where Jesus lived and grew up in for the Holy Catholic Empire. IN the 8 crusades that they had there was one children crusade. In the children crusade people were brutally slaughtered in that period of time. There were many impacts from all of the crusades that helped europe. One thing is that it helped is that it helped the feudal system slowly stop because of rich and wealthy land owners die. The crusades also brought many different types of items when the traveled for war. This made them find goods they have never seen before. The Crusades were also bad because of the Holy Catholic Church not gaining back the holy land of Jerusalum. This also caused a way of a money system coming about with coined money to buy your own food, goods and resources. This money system made more trading going on because of the value of the goods. In the crusades many areas were brought down because of so may people involved in all of this here are some people that were apart of the crusades. Saladin, Richard the lionhearted, Frederick Barabossa and King Phillip they had many big and small roles in the time of the crusades at different times.
